There are two types of cards: Character Cards and Technique Cards.
Winning the Game
Victory Condition 1: Your opponent's life points reach 0
Victory Condition 2: The total life points of characters in your opponent's bounty head list equals 6 or more
Victory Condition 3: Your opponent cannot draw anymore cards
Setup
1. Make a deck with 32 cards. You may have 4 of each cards unless a card says "X cards deck" then you can have "X" amount of cards.
2. Shuffle the deck and place it face down on the Treasure Box.
3. Draw 6 cards from the Treasure Box and place them face down in the Log without looking at them.
4. Draw 7 cards from the Treasure Box and place them in your Hand.
5. Decide who goes first.
6. Player 1 may send his Hand to the Ocean and draw new cards as many times as they want. When done they must choose a Captain and a Comrade if they want. They're life points may only add up to 6 at the moment. You may not have a Characters with the same name. The cards must be placed face down.
7. Player 2 repeats step 6
8. Flip the cards over and move cards from your Log to your characters equal to the amount of Life Points. The Characters are now in play.
9. Player 1 starts their first turn.
